This project will provide work placement at several host community organisations for jobseekers in Stanthorpe.

Participants will be provided with work experience in the areas of administration, aged care, child care, hospitality, minor maintenance and web design.

This project will assist jobseekers in Toowoomba to become job ready.

Job preparation assistance will include basic computer skills, first aid training, workplace health and safety, resume preparation, interview skills, digital recruitment and job searching.

Work placement will be undertaken at Yukana Retirement Village, Glennon House, ADRA, Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels and the participants will gain skills in aged care, horticulture, administration, food services hospitality and general yard maintenance/construction.

This project will provide work placements to local long-term unemployed, parents and carers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, Australian South Sea Islanders, mature-aged and recently retrenched workers.

Participants will engage in flood repairs with a focus on restoring parks and gardens within the North Burnett catchment areas and will undertake activities such as revegetation, weed removal, pest management, minor repairs, planting and plant maintenance.

This will project will provide assistance for long-term jobseekers to work in a diverse range of parks, reserves and foreshore areas in the Bundaberg region.

Participants will undertake activities such as track repairs, boardwalk installation, replanting, signage repair, environmental weeds, track and fire break maintenance and revegetation of eroded banks.

Some participants will undertake work placement with the Bundaberg Regional Council in various departments, responding to flood recovery work across a range of council managed parks, gardens and reserves.

Participants will also have the opportunity to undertake accredited training in Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card) and First Aid.

This project will provide work placement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from Hervey Bay.

Participants will be involved in various Fraser Coast Regional Council projects and will undertake work activities such as construction of playground equipment, construction of picnic and BBQ areas, paving, painting, landscaping, foreshore restoration, and using and maintaining saws and other equipment.

This project aims to provide job preparation and accredited training to assist long-term unemployed, underemployed, people with disabilities, parents and carers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, youth and culturally and linguistically diverse people from the Darling Downs and South West areas.

Job preparation assistance will target the transport industry with activities such as licence upgrades and truck driving lessons including assistance with life skills, career advice, resume writing, job search, personal presentation and communication skills.

Accredited training will be offered in selected modules from Certificate I and II in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport).

This project will provide paid employment for jobseekers from the Toowoomba area.

Participants will undertake recycling activities to process the donated goods received in response to the recent Queensland floods.

Participants will identify goods for recycling, resale or restoration, identification of ferrous and non-ferrous items, customer skills, use of cash registers, yard maintenance, forklift operations and clothing identification.

This project will provide assistance to jobseekers in the Bundaberg region by providing skills development in areas of skills shortages including hospitality, construction and horticulture.

Work placement participants will undertake duties such as timber recycling, menu planning, preparation and serving meals, barista and food safety, landscaping, irrigation, concreting, paving and plant propagation.

Job preparation participants will be assisted with job search techniques, resume preparation, addressing selection criteria, interview skills and application writing.

Selected accredited training modules in Certificate II in Hospitality, Furniture Making, Business and Construction will also be delivered.

This project will assist long-term unemployed, Indigenous job seekers and low skilled underemployed youths seeking a career as a producer, a curator or an arts worker across Queensland.

A flexible range of integrated services will be offered including job preparation assistance in job search techniques, interview skills, writing applications and resumes.

This project will provide job preparation and accredited training for Indigenous, long-term unemployed and underemployed jobseekers from the Gladstone area to help meet local industry shortages.

Job preparation activities will include developing a training plan to identifying barriers and to provide support incorporating personal and skills development activities, Cultural Awareness training, Construction White card and First Aid.

Accredited training will be delivered as short training courses in either Certificate II, III and IV in Engineering, Construction, Business Administration and Hospitality including vocational placements.

This project aims to provide training for long-term unemployed individuals in the production horticulture industry in the Bundaberg region.

Participants will undertake job preparation activities such as job search, resume writing, career pathways and personal presentation.

Accredited training will deliver selected units at Certificate I and II levels from the Horticulture training package that have been identified as necessary to gain entry into the production horticulture industry.

This project will provide the long-term unemployed, mature-aged, youth and jobseekers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds including refugees and recently arrived migrants with paid green work placements.

Participants will undertake flood recovery work including assisting local council workers to repair flood damaged roads and infrastructure, stormwater maintenance and repair, reading plans and maps, line marking and concrete works.

This project will provide assistance to long-term unemployed Aboriginal Torres Strait Islanders, Australian South Sea Islander, youth, mature-aged and parents returning to the workforce in the Wide Bay region.

Work placement participants will undertake vegetation maintenance work for Energex as well as concreting, landscaping and pathways with the Fraser Coast Council.

Job preparation assistance will include job search techniques, resume preparation, addressing selection criteria, interview skills and application writing.

Participants will have the opportunity to undertake accredited training in selected modules from Certificate II in Horticulture including acquiring chainsaw tickets, first aid, manual handling and chipper operations.

This project will provide paid work placements to assist individuals in Chinchilla who have been displaced from their regular place of employment as a result of the floods.

Participants will work on clean up and rehabilitation along and around Charleys Creek, the recreation reserve in Cooranga North, Dalby PCYC and the lagoon and parklands in Tara.

Training will be provided to participants to obtain tickets in chainsaw operation, ACDC chemical spraying and the Construction White Card.

This project is part of the 2011 Queensland Natural Disasters Jobs and Skills Package.

This project will assist young people in Toowoomba, Oakey, Dalby and Roma to become job ready.

Job preparation assistance will include career advice and planning, job search training, self esteem building, communication and assertion skills and literacy and numeracy.

Participants will gain a range of workplace entry level skills in preparation for employment across a range of industries including National Broadband Network, retail, administration, trades and hospitality.

This project will assist jobseekers from the Bundaberg Community to increase their literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to undertake further training and/or gain employment.

Accredited training modules will be delivered from 30719QLD Course in Adult Literacy and Numeracy.

This project will assist jobseekers from Gayndah and Maryborough areas to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills, to enable them to undertake further training and/or gain employment.

Individual learning plans will be developed for each participant with activities aligned to the learning outcomes of the Course in Adult Literacy and Numeracy (30719QLD) curriculum.

This project will assist jobseekers from the Border Rivers Community to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills to enable them to undertake further training and/or gain employment.

Training will be tailored to the individual needs of participants with an increasing emphasis on basic IT literacy and work readiness skills.

Individual learning plans will be developed for each participant with activities aligned to the learning outcomes of the Course in Adult Literacy and Numeracy (30719QLD) curriculum.

This project will provide literacy and numeracy training to jobseekers in the Toowoomba area to enable them to participate in further training or employment.

Accredited training modules will be delivered from 30719QLD Course in Adult Literacy and Numeracy.

In addition, some participants will be offered the opportunity to undertake accredited training in the Course in Volunteer Tutor Training (30592QLD).

This project will assist disadvantaged youth from Toowoomba to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills.

Individual learning plans will be developed to meet learning needs and goals, and appropriate support will be provided to help achieve these outcomes.

Accredited training will include the Course in Adult Literacy and Numeracy.

This project will assist young Indigenous people and people from jobless households from the Gympie region who have disengaged from school or are at risk of exiting from the education system.

Participants will be assisted with communication skills, applying for jobs, resumes and interviews, goal setting, organisation and time management, and team work.

Accredited training in Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Gambling Service, First Aid, White Card (Construction), Certificate II Access 10 studies, selected modules from Certificate II in Engineering, Automotive Mechanical, Business or Hairdressing as well as Young Driver Education will also be delivered.

This project will provide assistance to disengaged or at risk young disadvantaged people from the Fraser Coast.

Participants will be assisted with life skills, job search skills and practical work skills to enable effective access to long term involvement in employment and/or further education and training.

This project will provide assistance to young people from jobless households and the local Indigenous community from Toowoomba and Dalby to become work ready or undertake further training.

Job preparation participants will be assisted with career interest and aptitude testing, communication workshops, work simulations and mock interviews, resume development and lifeskills camp.

A range of non-accredited training will be provided in literacy and numeracy, customer service and communication, personal development, computer skills and defensive driving.

Selected accredited training modules from Certificate I in Business, Retail, Construction, Automotive, White Card and Senior First Aid will also be delivered.

This project will provide job preparation and accredited training to young people, indigenous and those from jobless households at risk of disengaging from school, to assist them into employment, further education or training.

Participants will have an initial upfront assessment to establish an individualised assistance package.

Job preparation participants will be assisted with career education, life skills, employability skills, work experience and literacy and numeracy support.

Accredited training in Certificate I in Work Education and First Aid will also be delivered.

This project aims to provide assistance for disengaged and at risk youth across the Kingaroy and Murgon areas.

The project will develop individual learning plans, focussing on employability skills, communication, team work, language, literacy and numeracy, learner driver training and work experience.

Selected accredited training in Construction White Card, Senior First Aid, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Gambling Services, at Certificate I, II or II level in Information Technology, Hospitality, Retail, Construction and Access 10 will also be delivered.

TThis project will provide job preparation and accredited training for young people aged between 15 and 17 years from the Bundaberg area who have disengaged from school and at risk of being long-term unemployed.

Individual assistance via a flexible program will provide job preparation activities such as developing a Transition and Learning Plan, skills assessment, team building, problem solving, self esteem and safety at work.

Accredited training will be delivered in Certificate II in either Construction, Horticulture, Furniture Making, Retail or Hospitality.

Face-to-face training will be integrated with hands-on experience at the centre and its associated stores.

This project aims to assist 15 to 19 year old Indigenous youths from Toowoomba who face significant barriers in accessing employment and training opportunities.

Participants will be assisted with work readiness skills, resume writing, presentation, personal health and fitness, literacy and numeracy support, teamwork, first aid, construction industry induction and defensive driving.

This project will provide job preparation and accredited training to young people from jobless households and the local Indigenous community from the Southern Downs area who are disengaged from school or at risk of disengaging, to assist them into employment, further education or training.

Participants will have an initial upfront assessment to establish an individualised assistance package.

Job preparation participants will be assisted with communication skills, career development and job search skills, construction skills and general living skills.

Accredited training in Construction Industry White Card and First Aid will also be delivered.

This project will offer a flexible and personalised service to young people from the Bundaberg area that have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from the education system.

Job preparation assistance will include team building, recreational activities, self-esteem building, goal setting, career pathways, work skills, literacy, numeracy, written and verbal communication, job search, interview techniques and work ethic and skills to maintain employment.

Accredited training in Certificate I in Work Preparation will also be delivered.

This project aims to assist people in the Nanango area who have multiple barriers to gaining employment or access further training and education.

Using an intensive case management approach, participants will be assisted with budgeting, personal and social skills, career guidance, mock interviews and job search skills.

Referral and advocacy assistance will also be provided to participants to ensure appropriate assistance from agencies and government departments.

This project aims to assist individuals from the Fraser Coast area who are socially excluded and face multiple barriers to participating in the workforce.

Under a case management approach participants will be assisted to improve their personal and social skills with the aim of moving towards becoming work ready.

In addition the project will work with government, non-government and local community services to provide relevant assistance that is tailored to each individual’s needs.

This project aims to assist people in the Bundaberg area who have multiple barriers to gaining employment or access further training and education.

Using an intensive case management approach, participants will be assisted with communication skills, problem solving and decision making and financial management.

Referral and advocacy assistance will also be provided to participants to ensure appropriate assistance from agencies and government departments.

This project will complement the South West Indigenous Family Coaching and Mentoring Service to assist the African migrants in Toowoomba, women returning to work in Surat Basin and the Indigenous participants in Roma, and Cunnamulla.

Participants will have an initial up front assessment to establish an individualised assistance package.

Participants will have the opportunity to undertake accredited training to obtain a full qualification in either Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) or Certificate II in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations).

This project will provide accredited training to jobseekers from Bundaberg who are currently excluded from the labour market.

Participants will have the option to undertake accredited training to obtain a full qualification in either Certificate II in Hospitality, Horticulture, Construction or Furniture Making.

This project will provide qualifications to assist participants gain employment in the Civil Operations/Construction Industry.

Participants will have the opportunity to undertake accredited training to obtain a full qualification in Certificate II in Civil Construction.

This project aims to deliver accredited training to assist job seekers from jobless households, mature-aged, youth, young mothers and Indigenous from Gympie and Kingaroy to obtain employment in retail and business services industries.

Participants will have the opportunity to undertake a fully accredited qualification in either Certificate II in Business or Certificate II in Retail.

This project aims to deliver accredited training to eligible jobseekers from the Wide Bay/ Burnett region to address health industry skill shortages.

This project will provide jobseekers from Wide Bay, Darling Downs and South West areas with skills, knowledge and exposure to the retail environment through a mix of accredited training, work placement with host employers and exposure to employment opportunities within the industry.

Participants will undertake accredited training to obtain a full qualification in Certificate II in Retail.

This project will provide assistance to jobseekers who are seeking to re-enter the workforce including the long-term unemployed, young people, parents and carers, older workers and Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander peoples from the Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Warwick, Kingaroy and Roma areas.

Participants will have the option to undertake accredited training to obtain a full qualification in either Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, Health Services Assistance or Health Support Services.
