Skilling Queenslanders for Work projects offer jobseekers customised employment and training assistance and helps Queensland to meet the demands of the labour market for a skilled workforce.
Community Literacy Program offers customised language, literacy and numeracy training assistance and helps Queensland to meet the demands of the labour market for a skilled workforce.
Get Set for Work offers a transition pathway towards getting a job, returning to school, or continuing with other education or training for fifteen to seventeen year olds who have left school, or are at risk of leaving before year 12.
Queenslanders Working Together is a federal government initiative administered through Skilling Queenslanders for Work which offers training and employment assistance primarily for parental and mature age jobseekers to boost employment prospects. Current projects are operating until June 2009 and no new contracts will be issued under this program.
Participate in Prosperity (PiP) is a Skilling Queenslanders for Work strategy helping link disadvantaged people who are outside the labour force with government services and assistance to create pathways to employment and increase their social inclusion.
Productivity Places Program (PPP) is part of the Australian Government's Skilling Australia for the Future policy. A component of the job seeker training places are administered under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative to assist job seekers gain Certificate II and III level qualifications in priority skill areas. Additional job seeker places will be available through a range of strategies including a public RTO tender process administered by the Department of Education and Training.

Back To Work 2008-09
The Back to Work Program focuses mainly on mature-age participants in rural and remote localities.
Participants will be offered a combination of accredited training modules from Certificate I in IT and non accredited job search skills.
The program is delivered with a flexible approach offering an adult learning environment, small groups, self-paced and facilitated by local coordinators and presenters.
The training component will comprise job search, skills recognition, basic computer training including Microsoft Word and Internet, resume writing, interview skills and application writing skills.
Boystown Youth at Work
This project will provide a range of activities including job preparation, work placement and accredited training to assist jobseekers in the South West area of Ipswich.
The project will run in various stages and offer participants a variety of training across engineering, general trades, aged care, retail and construction.
Selected accredited training modules will be delivered from Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade, Certificate III in Automotive, Certificate II in Retail and Certificate III in Basic Health Care.
Get Into Transport and Logistics
This project aims to assist unemployed and underemployed jobseekers into employment in the transport and logistics industry through the provision of accredited training, work experience opportunities and job preparation assistance.
Participants will have an initial up front assessment to establish an individualised assistance package.
Selected accredited training modules will be delivered from Certificate II in Transport and Logistics training packages.
HEAT South West
This project will assist people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background to transition into the workforce.
Participants will be placed with several host community organisations to provide them with experience in an Australian workplace.
Assistance will include literacy and numeracy support and job search skills.
Selected accredited training modules will be delivered from selected modules from Certificate II in Business, Retail, Community Services and Hospitality.
Harvest Rain Hospitality ROLE Training Project
This project will provide assistance to jobseekers with employment, training and practical work experience in hospitality, catering and events management.
Participants will receive job preparation training including job search activities, resume writing, interview and presentation skills.
Work placement will include hosting a range of functions including café and barista operations, preparing and serving food, customer service, cash handling, as well as management of events.
Accredited training in Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations) will also be delivered.
Ipswich City Council Green Army Project
This Green Army project will provide jobseekers from the Ipswich area with work placement at Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate, White Rock-Spring Mountain Conservation Estates and Denmark Hill Conservation Park.
Participants will undertake a diverse range of work activities including basic construction, landscaping and basic horticulture.
Keeping Queensland Moving
This project will provide job preparation and accredited training to job seekers across Toowoomba, the Darling Downs and South West Queensland areas.
Job preparation participants will be assisted with life skills, career advice, resume writing, job search, personal presentation and interaction with others.
Selected accredited training modules will be delivered from Certificate I and II in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport).
Lifeline's Green Army Recycling Project
This Green Army project will assist jobseekers undertake a recycling project in Toowoomba.
Participants will have access to work placement consisting of identification of items for recycling, resale or restoration, identification of ferrous and non-ferrous items, yard maintenance and warehousing duties.
All participants will be offered forklift training and will be assisted to gain their forklift qualification during the project.
Pacific Skills
This project aims to employ two part-time coordinators who will provide individualised assistance to jobseekers from the Pacific Islander community in the Ipswich area.
Job preparation assistance including job search strategies, resume preparation, interview techniques and skills in applying against a selection criterion will be offered to assist in addressing some of the barriers to accessing sustainable employment.
Participants will also have the opportunity to undertake accredited training in a variety of streams including horticulture/landscaping, security work, construction and hospitality.
Pathways to Success
This project aims to provide a range of activities including job preparation, work placement and accredited training to assist jobseekers in Toowoomba.
Through the job preparation program participants will have an initial assessment and an individual return to work plan will be developed.
All participants will complete Certificate I in Skills for the Future which includes vocational placement.
Participants will then be offered a part-time work placement with a not-for-profit organisation to undertake on-the-job training.
Pathways to Success - HEAT Toowoomba
This project will provide a range of activities including job preparation, work placement and accredited training to assist jobseekers from the Toowoomba area.
Participants will have an initial up-front assessment to establish an individualised assistance package.
Job preparation participants will be assisted with job search and interview techniques, time management, prioritisation, goal setting and basic computer skills.
Work placement participants will undertake work activities in a variety of community based organisations, schools and the local council.
Accredited training in Certificate I in Skills for the Future will also be delivered.
QWI Skilling Queenslanders 2009-2010
This project, with Queensland Water Infrastructure (QWI) as the auspicing organisation, will capitalise on job opportunities for disadvantaged jobseekers living near sites of the Wyaralong Dam near Beaudesert and the proposed Traveston Crossing Dam near Amammor.
QWI will work with local Community based organisations to develop and implement several Green Army and Work Placement projects, designed to regenerate and improve habitat corridors for wildlife, restore degraded river banks and build or improve recreational facilities including horse and walking trails.
Activity is initially concentrated at the Wyaralong site, pending Federal Government approval of the Traveston Crossing Dam on the Sunshine Coast.
Wyaralong projects will include the establishment of new community infrastructure, bush regeneration and wildlife and waterways conservation.
Resourcing Resilience
This project will assist long-term unemployed and parents and carers seeking to return to the workforce with work placement.
Participants will undergo an initial assessment to identify barriers to learning and participation.
Work placement will be provided in administration, web development, childcare, hospitality, minor maintenance and horticulture.
Riverview Employment and Learning (REAL)
This project will provide a range of activities including job preparation and accredited training to assist jobseekers from the Ipswich area who are currently disadvantaged in the labour market.
Job preparation participants will be assisted with career planning, personal development, communication skills and job search strategies.
Accredited training in Certificate II and Certificate III in Security Operations, Certificate III in Home and Community Care and selected modules from Certificate III in Business Administration will also be offered.
Rosewood Showgrounds
This Queensland Green Army project aims to employ disadvantaged jobseekers to undertake a work placement project at the Rosewood Showgrounds.
Participants will undertake a range of activities including basic construction, landscaping, painting and basic horticulture.
This project will also incorporate basic computer training and literacy and numeracy assistance through Bremer Institute of TAFE.
Skills for the Future
This project will provide a range of activities including job preparation and accredited training across Western Downs and Roma areas.
Job preparation participants will be assisted with following work instructions, personal presentation, time management, self esteem, working safely and employer expectations.
Accredited modules in Certificate II in Civil Engineering and Certificate II in Civil Construction will also be offered.
Skills to Success
This Green Army project will assist long-term unemployed jobseekers with work placement aimed at rejuvenating the river banks along the Bremer River at Riverview.
Participants will undertake activities such as weeding, planting of native trees, shoreline stabilisation and erosion control, and general landscaping.
Accredited training modules from Certificate II in Horticulture will also be delivered.
Work 'n' Place 2007/08 to 2009/10
The Work 'n' Place 2009-10 project will provide opportunities across Queensland for people suffering with mental health issues enter into ongoing paid employment.
This project is being delivered as part of the Government's commitment under the National Action Plan on Mental Health 2006-2011.
The model developed by Mental Health Association allows for a greater deal of flexibility geographically, in the nature of work placements available to participants and in the work/study mix.
Young Artist Mentoring Program & NAVIGATION - Arts Business Training for Emerging Artists & Art Workers 2008-2010
This project aims to offer a range of integrated services to assist young people make a career in the Arts industry.
Participants will either be mentored by a member of the Arts industry with specialist support and an involvement in a project partnership, or undertake an Arts business program utilising accredited training modules in Business and the Arts.
Your Future Pathways (Linked Learning)
The program aims to provide a range of activities including job preparation and accredited training to assist jobseekers in rural and remote areas of Queensland.
Participants will be offered job search activities including resume writing and interview skills.
Selected accredited training modules will be delivered from adult literacy and numeracy, Certificate I in Information Technology, Certificate II in Business Skills for workforce entry and the TAFE Readiness Pathway Program.

This project aims to provide assistance to jobseekers in Gatton and the surrounding areas.
Participants will receive customised assistance to undertake job preparation, accredited training and non-accredited training with a strong emphasis on pathways to employment.
The project will include personal development, support team building and literacy and numeracy assistance.
Accredited training options will include selected modules from: Certificate I Retail Operations, Certificate I Information Technology, and Course in Skills for the Future.
Get Set For Work - Fassifern Community Centre
This project will provide accredited training and job preparation for youth in Boonah and surrounding areas.
Participants will receive a range of assistance tailored to their individual needs including the opportunity to undertake the Certificate II Access 10 competencies.
Get Set For Work - Increasing Options Program
This project will provide accredited training and job preparation to youth with special needs in the Moreton region.
Participants will have access to targeted vocational and learning areas including hairdressing, automotive, engineering, information technology, community services, workplace access, literacy and numeracy.

This project will provide accredited training and job preparation to disadvantaged youth in Goodna and surrounding areas.
Participants will have the opportunity to undertake accredited training in Certificate I in Skills for the Future, Literacy and Numeracy and life skills training.
Get Set for Work - Bundamba
This project aims to provide assistance to the Bundamba and Laidley areas.
Participants will receive personalised assistance to undertake job preparation, accredited training and non-accredited training with a strong emphasis on pathways to employment.
Accredited training options will include selected modules from: Year 10 alternative literacy and numeracy through Certificate II in Access 10, General Safety Induction (Construction industry) Blue Card and Course in Skills for the Future.
Non-accredited training will include a specialist training program for developing resiliency in young people and vocational placement aligned to an industry of interest.
Get Set for Work - DISCO
This project aims to provide assistance for early school leavers in the Toowoomba and Dalby area.
The project has been built on the needs of the particular community and links into local employment opportunities, with a high emphasis on employability skills, personal development, industry visits, work experience, and personal support.
Accredited training includes Certificate I in Retail and Certificate I in Rural Operations.
Literacy and numeracy training will be integrated into all activities and Senior First Aid certificate and Construction Blue Card will be offered as additional training.
Get Set for Work - Goondiwindi
This project aims to provide a range of accredited and non-accredited training activities for early school leavers and those at risk of disengagement from school.
All participants will complete an Individual Learning Plan which will include life skill activities and job preparation training.
Accredited training will consist of Certificate I in Rural Skills and work experience will be offered during the course of the project.
Get Set for Work - Warwick
This project will provide Accredited Training and Job Preparation to disadvantaged youth in Warwick and surrounding areas.
Participants will receive individual learning plans including a variety of flexible assistance measures and will have access to accredited training in certificate I or II in retail, senior first aid and construction safety card (blue card).
Participants will be encouraged to participate in work experience and will attend a three day camp.

This project aims to assist Indigenous youth to re-engage in employment or undertake further education and training.
Each participant will be assessed on their needs including literacy and numeracy levels and a Training Plan will be completed.
Participants will participate in job preparation activities, cultural connection workshops and work experience.
Accredited training undertaken will depend on the participant's level of interest and aptitude as outlined in their Training Plan.

This project will assist social enterprises which are non-profit businesses whose purpose is to create employment for marginalised people.
The social enterprise will be assisted for growth through business training and mentoring, pro bono support, procurement opportunities and assistance with financial planning and funding to assist in employing marginalised people.
Participants assisted through this initiative will be offered accredited training in Construction, Hospitality or Business Studies to assist in employment and employment longevity.
Additionally, marginalised staff will be provided with training for job readiness and upskilling.
Steps to Success
This Participate in Prosperity case management project aims to assist disadvantaged jobseekers residing in the East Ipswich area.
Assistance will be customised to each participant's needs through the development of a personal achievement/work plan that will consider individual support needs, strategies to address identified barriers, referral pathways, milestones and outcomes.
Case Managers will also offer and support access to more intensive services to suit individual needs and referral to training/employment programs being provided in the local area.

Participants will undertake a Certificate II in Business, Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) or Certificate II in Hospitality.
Basic job search training and career development is included.
People Helping People
This project aims to assist disadvantaged job seekers in the Brisbane South and Toowoomba areas to enter into the aged care or horticulture sectors.
Participants will be assisted with development of life and personal skills, employability skills and job search techniques and will have the opportunity to complete a Certificate II in Horticulture or Certificate III in Aged Care.
YWCA - Productivity Places
This project will provide assistance to jobseekers who are seeking to re-enter the workforce from the Toowoomba and Western Downs areas.
Participants will have the option to undertake accredited training to obtain a full qualification in Certificate II and Certificate III either in Community Services, Business and Transport and Logistics.
